UC + Keyport Partnership

Get ready!

It’s been in the works for some time now. I know you’ve heard me hint about it before, but today is the official announcement of Urban Carvers and Keyport partnering up and working together to solve the messy keys epidemic.

To start you’ll find a new MQR (Magnetic Quick Release) that will be exclusively on Keyport’s website for now. I’m very proud of this new design for a few reasons. We are calling it the Keyport KO. It’s new in that half of the quick release will attach directly to a Keyport Pivot 2.0 and the other half is the familiar, tried and true, V2 MQR. This shortens the set and cleans up the ring issue by simply removing it entirely. There’s plenty of motion to pivot the MQR out of the way and still keep it comfortable in the pocket. This version is designed specifically to fit the Pivot 2.0.

Seeing how this design has a few new angles, I am only producing them in brass at the moment. As soon as I get the new machine brought in and running, a Titanium version will be first on the list. That’s still a few months away.

Check them out! I’ve included a few photos. Click the photos or the button below to go to Keyport’s website to get one before they are gone!

Why Keyport?

I know there’s a lot of key organizers out there and they all have something to offer. Trust me, my prototype bin is full of different key organizers from all brands. I’ve carried many brands and types that vary in materials and quality. Keyport has been in the game longer than most.

  • They designed the first Slide version that’s truly one handed.

  • Modular EDC system that doesn’t require extra hardware.

  • First stackable modules and a good variety of them too.

  • First to integrate a lost and found system KeyportID

  • Quality

This is just a few of the things you can expect from Keyport. They are simple to setup, slimmer than others, customizable beyond just material/finish and like UC, they are always making improvements. I will be doing a deep dive into what separates them from the rest of the brands with a video and blog post soon. I know you’ll like the Pivot 2.0 cause I do.

Also check out the giveaway they are going to run tomorrow (June 17th) over on their Instagram page @thekeyport.

Again thanks to Keyport for reaching out to me and getting this partnership going. We have many more plans and ideas to bring to this community.

Feel free to let me know what you think.

Thanks everyone!
