ZT0562Ti

Zero Tolerance nailed it with this chunk. Full milled Titanium handle with weight reducing relief cut on the inside. Frame lock is solid and audible. Finger flipper and thumb stand for a variety of opening methods. Easy disassembly and reassembly for cleaning and maintenance. 20CV blade is a clean shape, sharp out of the box, holds an edge and a fun sharpener. I say that cause 20CV isn’t know for easy sharpening but the blade sharp and gentle curve make it a little relaxing and fun, it just takes longer. Best part about this is the “Ka-Chunk” sound it makes when you flick it open.

Kizer Guru

Matt Degnan and Kizer teamed up on this one and in it’s simplicity made a great full feature folder. It’s compact for a blade in this length and has ball bearings, steel lock up insert and great lock up. The simple frame lock is hard to improve on concidering there just isn’t much to work with. But being a flipper and having a great “Kah Chunk” sound when opening make it a favorite. Blade profile is nice but did need some edge work as most production blades do. The milled clip is always a nice touch for me.

I did have to do a little custom finish work and anodize it to fit in the collection but out of the box it’s a bad ass knife for $99. Unfortunately it’s cheap cause it’s been discontinued so hurry and get one before they are gone! Click the photo to go to Blade HQs landing page.

ZT0350

It’s been a Zero Tolerance staple for years and for good reason. It’s solid, good in the hand, sharp, and not going to break the bank. Think about it, the design hasn’t changed much in many years. Why? Because you don’t mess with a good thing. Want more? Sure you can get better scales, upgrade the steel, or even spring for fancy hardware. But if you need a beater that won’t embarrass you the this one should be on your list.

WE Banter

It’s Ben Banter’s brain child and he knocked it out of the park. Keep in mind This knife will only run you about $100. Of course we are talking G-10, S35VN steel, liner lock, flat grind etc but where it shines is in the details and the over all design. Every corner and side of this knife has a purpose for existing they way it does. Nothing is an after thought. gentle curve on the back, gimping, and even the lanyard hole seems to all apart of the overall design and not just put there because it needed for example a hole for paracord.
