The Treadhead
The Treadhead
Solid 360 Brass and Grade 5 Titanium 6al-4v
9/16” OD 1/4” ID and 1/2” Long
The Treadhead is a modified and slim version of the popular discontinued bead. It has 6 cuts made around the circumference that alternate on both sides giving it the appearance of tire tread. Its roots stem from the original Crush and has always been a crowd favorite. The lines and curves pair well with a lot of EDC gear. Brass will patina more as it ages. The 1/4” hole is big enough for 2 pieces of paracord or leather lanyards to pass through. All the edges are chamfered so there are no sharp corners.
Comes with a piece of Black paracord
Great for lanyards on key fobs, knifes, flashlights, zipper pulls, key chains, and all the things you can think to use them for. Simple design and built to last a lifetime. Brass is non magnetic and won't stick to my breakaway magnets.

Cool bead that has a very industrial vibe. Excellent product & customer service!
So I keep five starring everything I review. I guess sincerity is measured by time. The Treadhead is one bead I passed over enough times to miss what I was missing. I am not being cute. Just honest. Then on occasion one view and I finally saw what I hadn't seen until that moment. Some beads don't immediately connect with me or with the EDC I think needs something minimal yet completes the dressing. Another reviewer made this point, and I realized that characterization fits perfectly. Sometimes the design is counter-intuitive for me, until in time I discover that minimal is often maximum and works just fine. I've been called several names, and I have accepted Treadhead in the world of beads is the difference that makes the difference.
