From the perspective of a collector which is how I treat my collection, a bead has two functions; Adding to the EDCs finishing touches and something to grab to unpacked with assurance. Sometimes a shiny brass or one with a patina that adds a finish of history or whoever a patina accomplishes is just the bead between your hand and the EDC. Two or three grooves is up to buyer. I think three grooves work. This bead is so well fabricated and finished that no matter how you configure it, Two or three, shiny brass or and aged patina look, I think that look is groovy. (Tells you how old I am). Highly recommended.
First time this bead caught my eye. I think because I was looking for something simple, yet elegant, and designed with straight lines. The choice of grooves added just the right design touch. I chose three grooves for its intended mount. It's a useful bead in its simplicity, durability and quality fabrication. It's generously priced too, and lets the EDC take center stage. On second thought, understated as it might be, which is what caught my eye, the choice of the patina adds a ageless, rugged tone and the brassy bead a classy one.
